Home Weatherization Available for Those Who Qualify

Government stimulus (ARRA) funds are available to weatherize homes.  Weatherization makes homes more energy efficient utilizing less energy to heat and cool resulting in lower utility bills and a higher standard of living.  Weatherization includes things like caulking, glazing, insulation, weatherstripping, Kool Seal for mobile homes, door sweeps, repair of leaking ductwork, etc.  The program will send a qualified inspector to evaluate the home and then send a technician to do the work.  All at no cost to those who are at 150% of the poverty guidelines or receives Supplemental Social Security benefits.  You may know someone who qualifies for this government program.  Applications are at the church office and help is available to complete the application.  For more information about this program, click here.
